EchoIR Wireless TV Listener uses infrared signals to transmit sound from TV (radio or hi-fi) to an under chin headset receiver, providing an extremely high-quality audio sound enhancing the speech signal received from the TV. The powerful transmitter doubles as a dual charging bay for the option of two receivers (one receiver is supplied in standard set). The sound from the TV is transmitted into the room using the infrared signals; the signals are then picked up by the headset receiver. The volume, tone and left/right ear balance can be easily adjusted by the user to enable the television volume to be set at a comfortable level for others. The audio and microphone inputs on the headset allow the headset to be used as a Personal Listener without the use of the transmitter. The audio line input on the headset allows the headset to be connected directly to an audio source i.e. TV, radio, mobile, iPod or mp3. There are no batteries to change as the receiver has a built in intelligent charging circuit, this produces a fast charge for the receiver and when fully charged can provide up to 8 hours listening time. The headset is lightweight and comfortable in the ear, designed with soft ear buds to provide maximum amplification with maximum outside noise reduction. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT FOR EXAMPLE OPTICAL OUT (spdif) UNLESS DIGITAL TO ANALOGUE CONVERTER IS IN USE. BEFORE PURCHASING THIS MODEL PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANALOGUE OUTPUTS AVAILABLE ON THE BACK PANEL OF YOUR TV.
